Pulling into Port for a Short Stay

I realize my blogging habits have been sporadic lately. Last month, I attended Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writer's Conference in Black Mountain, North Carolina for a week. When I returned to my normal life, the full-time job took over as we were in the midst of standardized testing. Now we're beginning final exams, and school will end in another week (you can probably hear my cheers wherever you are).

Suffice it to say, Favorite Things Friday has fallen to the wayside. Based on some information I gleaned at the conference, I'm also in the process of re-vamping my entire blog model and will probably update my website this summer. With all of this in mind, I'm staying in port for a few more weeks until I have everything ready to go. Hopefully I'll have some news to share by then, and I'm hoping to put in place a newsletter as well.

Thanks for your patience, and I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer!

Little Boat

  1. I bet you are counting down the minutes until school is done :) Sounds like you have some nice summer plans with writing and revamping; looking forward to what you come up with :)

  2. I've also been in an updating mode (well, for my author website) and it took me a long time to even figure out what I wanted. Summer is definitely slow for blogging. Can't wait to see what your'e up to in a few weeks. Have a great summer:)

  3. You too Quanie! Sometimes you just have to do some updating. 😉

  4. By now, I trust summer vacation has started, and you are lying by the pool sipping a tall glass of lemonade... Enjoy!

By the way, I don't know if it's just me, (Probably! I've been known to experience the occasional ESO... Equipment Superior to Operator... problem in the past...) but I can never make a comment on your blog by going directly to it by using the "blog" tab at the top of your page. I can see other comments that-a-way, but can't leave one. In order to do that, I have to click on the "contact" tab, and go around the barn to the blog from there. I dunno why that's the case, but it is. Um, yeah, could be just me... :)

    1. Glad you reported that, Susan! I will check on that!

  5. Happy Summer Vacation! I look forward to learning of your new blogging plans.

  6. It seems that summertime is just crazy! Today we'll have had the fourth group of people visit our new home (and stay overnight) in the past month--PLUS we were on vacation for a week. I just want my quiet time back!
